Join the KCC in our next project

Be part of the World Premiere of "On the beach at night"

Picture

The Kingston Chamber Choir invites
YOU to virtually join us as part of our Finding Hope concert on December 12th, 2021. We invite you to participate in the world premiere of “On the beach at night” by Matthew Emery.

This piece, commissioned by the KCC, is written for chamber choir, children’s choir, and - this is where you come in - a VIRTUAL CHOIR.

The Virtual Choir section is written for SAB (Soprano, Alto, and Tenor/Baritone/Bass) voices and is a gorgeous melodic joy to sing! Interested singers of all ages are asked to submit a video of themselves singing, and all submissions will be edited into a video that will be projected during the performance with live singers at the Isabel Bader Centre on December 12.

We wish that you could all join us in person, but this allows for as many people to participate as possible! So please share this page with friends, family, fellow singers, and community members so they can all join in this great opportunity to be involved in the premiere of this new work.

Below you will find the sheet music, learning tracks, a conducting track to sing along to, and a helpful how to video by Alastair.

We welcome everyone to be a part of this project - no set level of choral or singing experience is required, and we also encourage you to sing in a small group, with your choir, or perhaps with friends or family (following all COVID-19 guidelines, of course). This project is about reconnecting with our community and offering singers the opportunity to be part of an exciting project as we all start singing again.

We hope you will join us in virtual chorus for “On the beach at night”!

Darrell Christie, Artistic Director
