My choir work began in Grade 12 when I sang second soprano in a three-part girls' choir. Near the end of high school, I joined the Edith Rankin United Church Senior Choir singing soprano under the direction of Dr. Graham George and later singing alto under the direction of Gordon and Sandra Sinclair.
I continue to sing with this group under the direction of Laurence Rowbotham. Throughout my teaching career, my love of singing continued, especially with children in the classroom and working with Grade 1 to Grade 6 choirs. Early in my retirement and after an audition, Gordon Sinclair offered me an alto position in the Kingston Chamber Choir. Now you will still find me in the alto section under the direction of Darrell Brian.
